We’re proud to announce that Layher UK’s Training Centre in Letchworth is now officially recognised as an ESITS Accredited Training Centre.
This exciting development means that Layher’s modern, purpose-built facility is now approved to deliver both the ESITS GECO (General Events Crew Operative) and TDS Trainee Technician courses, providing delegates with high-quality, structured training tailored to the temporary demountable structures (TDS) sector within the live events industry.
While ESITS and Layher have enjoyed a strong product partnership, this formal accreditation takes our collaboration to the next level. It expands access to industry-specific learning for those working in the build and design of temporary demountable structures.
A Proud Milestone
During a recent visit to the Letchworth site, Mike Dean, ESITS Scheme Director, presented the official accreditation plaque to Anita Singh, Technical Director at Layher UK. The plaque will now be proudly displayed in Layher’s reception area, symbolising their ongoing commitment to safety, competence, and education in the TDS field.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Layher into the ESITS realm,” said Mike Dean. “Their technical expertise and long-standing reputation make them a natural fit to help deliver the next generation of TDS training.”
“Becoming an ESITS Accredited Training Centre is an important step for Layher,” added Anita Singh. “It strengthens our partnership and allows us to play a more active role in developing skills for the live events industry.”
What This Means for Delegates
The addition of Layher’s Letchworth Training Centre to the ESITS realm provides a new regional hub for technical learning, helping more professionals gain the qualifications and confidence needed to excel in the safe planning and delivery of TDS projects.
Together, ESITS and Layher remain committed to raising industry standards through high-quality training and ongoing collaboration.
