Layher UK’s Training Centre in Letchworth has been officially accredited as an ESITS Training Centre, further strengthening our collaboration with one of the live events industry’s most respected names in temporary demountable structures (TDS).
This accreditation confirms that Layher’s purpose-built facility in Letchworth is now approved to deliver both the GECO (General Events Crew Operative) course and the TDS Trainee Technician course from the ESITS scheme.

A Proud Milestone
To mark the occasion, Mike Dean, ESITS Scheme Director, presented the official accreditation plaque to Anita Singh, Technical Director at Layher UK, during a visit to the Letchworth centre. The plaque will be proudly displayed in the main reception area as a symbol of Layher’s commitment to raising standards in TDS industry.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Layher’s Letchworth Training Centre into our realm of accredited ESITS training centres,” said Mike Dean. “Their continued investment in innovation, safety, and training makes them an ideal partner to help develop the next generation of TDS professionals.”
While Layher and ESITS have been product partners, this formal training centre accreditation represents a significant step forward in enabling wider access to structured, industry-specific learning for those working in temporary demountable structures within the live events sector.
“It’s a real honour to be recognised as an accredited ESITS Training Centre,” added Anita Singh. “This strengthens our long-standing partnership and allows us to contribute even more directly to skills development in the live events industry.”
This announcement underscores the shared goal of both organisations: to ensure that technicians and professionals across the TDS sector are trained to the highest standards, competently, confidently, and safely.

What This Means for Delegates
The addition of Layher’s Letchworth Training Centre to the ESITS realm provides a new regional hub for technical learning, helping more professionals gain the qualifications and confidence needed to excel in the safe planning and delivery of TDS projects.
Together, ESITS and Layher remain committed to raising industry standards through high-quality training and ongoing collaboration.
