Getting out to some of the summer’s biggest events with ESITS

As part of our mission to showcase how the temporary demountable structures training and accreditation provided by ESITS is directly applicable to the onsite work undertaken by the event industry, we’ve been out and about over the summer capturing the build up of some of the big music events of the summer.

In June Mike Dean and our filming partner Studio One, spent a very hot day with the Acorn Events Structures team at Swansea Arena where their team were building the set for the Artic Monkeys gig.  With the stage roof to build and raise it was a very busy day for everyone involved.

And in August we were back with Acorn as they started the set build at Creamfields. This time however the weather wasn’t so kind with waterproofs needed all round as the rain lashed down, making the site a muddy challenge for the build team.  Being the professionals that they are, the Acorn team carried on, ensuring the structures were built safely and on time.

We are delighted to have created a timelapse video of the whole build process, showing how this complex job was completed from start to finish. Watch out for this coming to our website shortly.
